Who We Are

I am an Aerospace Engineer turned full-time woodworker. I am a husband and a father of two. Three if you count Sammy our dog. My objective is to make truly beautiful furniture for you and your family to enjoy for generations.

As a teenager I experimented with woodworking both as a part-time job and as a hobby. The first notable piece I made was for my parents. It was an outdoor table made from 2ā€ white cedar that my father purchased from a local mill. A seed was planted.

Post-secondary studies, followed by the start of a career in Aerospace resulted in a hobby gone dormant. Around 2015 I found myself thinking more and more about how Iā€™d make the wood pieces I see around me. One outdoor timber frame pavilion later and my hobby had more than re-kindled. It had evolved. It now included a love of hand tools, live edge slabs and concrete.

That Christmas my family got live edge, epoxy river charcuterie boards. Shortly thereafter Mill Road Wood And Concrete was born.

The remaining journey can be seen in the pages of this site.
